Commitment

"The world is changing and our company is changing with it. We have thought long and hard about where we see DINA's role in society and what concrete actions we can derive from this. This has resulted in some exciting projects with which we want to and can play our small part in solving the problems of our time and creating a better world in general."

Arche children's project

Inspired by the vision of our founder Dirar Najib, who believed that children are the most valuable resource for our future, we maintain an ongoing connection with the children's project “Die ARCHE.” As part of this partnership, we have made a conscious decision to forego traditional gifts for our customers and instead support Die ARCHE with a regular donation around Christmas time, a cause that is particularly close to our hearts at DINA. “Die ARCHE” supports children with warm meals, homework assistance, and meaningful leisure activities.

However, our commitment is not limited to financial support. Through the voluntary work of our employees, we want to give the children additional time, attention, and security. This creates a reliable, long-term connection with which we can create prospects together.

Our own bees

Although bees are often only associated with honey, they play a much more important role: they ensure the food supply for humanity. In fact, honeybees are responsible for over 80% of agricultural yields in crop and fruit production. The global decline in bee populations is therefore a serious problem that could have dramatic consequences. For this reason, DINA has hired several thousand new employees in the form of a bee colony from Bee-Rent. Through this sustainable project, we are actively contributing to species conservation.

Following a modest honey yield of 1.9 kilograms in 2022, we achieved a more promising 15.1 kilograms in 2023, until sadly the colony perished in December. In May 2024, a new bee colony moved in and produced four kilograms of honey that same year. At the beginning of 2025, the queen bee disappeared, but the colony has accepted a new queen and continues to thrive.

Dirar Najib Excellence Center in Jordan

A comprehensive education and quality training are the foundation of a successful life. This belief shaped the life of Dirar Najib, founder of DINA. In the 1960s, he moved from his hometown of Malka, Jordan, to Germany to pursue an education.

In many rural regions of Jordan, including Malka, access to education is limited. To this day, there is no public kindergarten in Malka; only a kindergarten bus takes children to neighboring villages.

In 2014, Dirar had the idea to establish an educational institution in Malka that would provide local children with quality training. With the support of the Malka Development Voluntary Society and long-standing friends, construction began in 2016. The Excellence Center officially opened in the fall of 2018.

With state-of-the-art equipment, the Excellence Center now offers space for 70 kindergarteners and 90 elementary school students. Additionally, the Excellence and Innovation Training Center is under construction to help young adults develop professional skills and improve their job prospects.
